February 13, 1949 - April 18, 2024

 

Clyde (Andy) Eugene Andrew passed away April 18, 2024 at the age of 75. He was born February 13, 1949 in San Bernardino, California to Shirley and Clyde Stewart Andrew.

 

Andy grew up in Kaysville, Utah, and then joined the United States Air Force and served in Taiwan and Vietnam as an aircraft refueler. He was then stationed at Fairchild Air Force Base in Spokane, Washington. In 1970, Clyde married Kendal Patton and had two children. He graduated from Eastern Washington University in Cheney, Washington with a Bachelor’s in Art. 

 

Andy worked in manufacturing and technology roles throughout his career and in 1993 he moved to Wyoming with his son and partner Annette (Annie) Schur.

He was a talented artist and musician and enjoyed drawing, arts and crafts, creating beaded jewelry, fishing, was an avid metal detectorist, and spent some time playing the banjo in bluegrass bands. He also loved spending days with his family on the Wyoming prairie hiking and searching for arrowheads. He loved animals including his beloved cat “Doc” and his ferrets. 

 

Andy is survived by his daughter Maria Vandervert; Annie’s children - Gene Schur, Jr.(Blossom), Laura Desmul (Bill), Micki Firestone, and Edie Hawotte; two grandchildren; his sisters Karen Abbott and Darlyn Swaim, and loving aunts, nieces and nephews. 

 

Andy was preceded in death by his parents Shirley Mickey and Clyde Stewart Andrew, his son Keith Andrew, his partner Annie Schur, his sister Terry Geraghty, and brother-in-laws Steven Abbott and Billy Swaim.
