A Funeral Mass will be held for Georgia Lynn C’Hair, 53, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 11, 2024 at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church with Father Andrew Duncan officiating.  Interment will follow at Buffalo Fat Cemetery.  A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m., Friday, May 10, 2024 at Eagle Hall with a wake to follow.

 

Mrs. C’Hair passed away on Monday, May 6, 2024 at SageWest Hospital in Riverton, WY.  Her Indian name was Singing Waterfall Woman.

 

She was born on October 13, 1970, daughter of Sherwin and Mary (Fox) Bigleggins in Fort Belknap, Montana. She grew up in Hays, Montana but has spent the past 26 years.  She attended the St. Paul’s Mission Catholic Church Elementary Hays/Lodgepole School; Fort Belknap Community College, graduating in 1994.  She earned two Associate’s Degrees; Arts and General Studies as well as Social Work.

 

In her free time, Georgia enjoyed beading, cooking, puzzles, coloring and everything involving her kids and grandkids. She had a big heart and adopted a lot of people as her sisters, mothers, moms, brothers and sons.  She would give her shirt off her back for people.

On September 1, 1998, Georgia married the love of her life, Brent C’Hair in Riverton, Wyoming.

 

Georgia was a devout member of the Catholic faith.  She also believed in the Northern Arapaho Traditions.

 

Mrs. C’Hair worked as a drug and alcohol counselor for White Buffalo, a woodland firefighter for the Fort Belknap Agency, a substitute teacher for the St. Stephen’s School and most recently a cashier for the Wind River Casino.

 

Survivors include her husband, Brent C’Hair; sons, Donovan (Kacey) Bigleggins, Aaron (Cretta) Edwards, Cole C’Hair, Kainen C’Hair, Angel C’Hair, Monte (Liz) Fox, Jr. and Theron Bigleggins; adopted sons, Josh Hoops, Elijah Jackson, Aaron Burroughs, Daniel Elwood, Dustin Villa, Kalvin YellowBear, Chris Monroe, Roger Wagon, Ethan FightingBear and Dennison Antelope; daughter, Nicole Bigleggins from California; adopted daughters, Mousie, Jarilyn, Ra’Dene, Josita, Maryella, Susie, Joella, Stella, Sweetwater, Cynthia Armajo; brothers, Aaron Bigleggins of Oregon, Shawn (Annie) Bigleggins of For Belknap, MT; adopted brothers, Abelardo Carrilo “Felix”, Vincent YellowBear, Jr., Dillon YellowBear, Tyson YellowBear, Forest Headley and Stephan Headley; sisters, Annette Bigleggins of 3 Buttes, MT, Wanda (Daniel) Raining Bird of Fort Belknap, MT and Tracy Bigleggins; adopted sisters, Ann Marie Lincoln, Riana SittingEagle, Andrea YellowBear; grandchildren, Tre’ Fetter, Kolter Fetter, Zyena Bigleggins, Shayda Bre’ella, Dante, Nii’Eihii, Bruce Wayne, Trisha Nicole, Gabriel Day; great grandchildren, Santianna, Rylene, Ryan and Avada.

 

She was preceded in death by baby, Charles Lucier; her parents; brothers, Monte Fox, Sr., Darryl “Tiger” Bigleggins, Sherwin Bigleggins, Jr., Dwight, Harold, Dwayne and Eugene Bigleggins; nephews, Darrell “Pokey” Fox, Kyle Rainingbird; niece, Amanda Bigleggins, Loretta Oldman and Larry Oldman, III.
