Theresa V. Lopez died at her home in Riverton on Monday, Jan. 23, 2012. She was 65.

Cremation has taken place and no services are planned.

Theresa Virginia Bruce was born in Belcourt, N.D., on Sat., Jan. 4, 1947, the daughter of Alexander and Margaret (Houle) Bruce. She grew up in Belcourt, Wahpauthin, and Minot, N.D.

Mrs. Lopez was a housewife, having married Thomas Lopez in 1972. Mr. Lopez worked on ranches and they lived in various communities, coming to Riverton in 1969, after living in Worland and Pavillion. He had worked at the sugar factory in Worland before taking a 32-year position with the City of Riverton.

Mrs. Lopez worked at the Driftwood Inn and in housekeeping at Riverton Memorial Hospital.

She was of the Catholic faith and a member of St. Margaret's Church in Riverton.

Her family said Mrs. Lopez enjoyed sewing, cooking, loved her pets, and visiting with her granddaughter.

Survivors include a daughter, LeAnn Holguin and her husband David of Glendale, Ariz.; a granddaughter, Amanda Holguin; brothers, Clarence Bruce and John Houle; a sister, Deloris Ameline and her husband Oliver; brothers-in-law, Pablo Lopez and his wife Fidelia, Robert Lopez, Henry Lopez, Raymond Lopez, and Luciao Lopez and his wife Jody; sisters-in-law, Juanita Barjas and her husband, Delores, Sarah Lopez, Carolyn Baldes and husband Micheal, and Lucy Aceves. Also numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and two brothers, Francis Bruce and Andrew Herman, Jr.; sister-in-laws, Esperanza Lopez and Maria del Jeusus Martinez
