Dorothy Mae Kintzler passed away on February 23, 2015 surrounded by her loving family at the Billings Clinic in Billings, MT, at the age of 84. A viewing will be Wednesday, February 25, 2015 from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Davis Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, February 26, 2015 at 2:00 pm at the United Methodist Church in Riverton, WY. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery. Dorothy Mae Weber was born January 21, 1931 to Alex and Katherine "Katie" Weber. She was one of three children, all girls. She grew up at her family's ranch in Arapahoe and attended high school in Riverton where she graduated in 1949. During high school, she worked at J.C. Penney's and the Ford Garage. On November 5,1950 she married her high school sweetheart Burdette "Bud" Kintzler in Riverton. They moved to Sand Draw where Bud worked at the Northern Utilities gas plant and they started their family. The family moved to Riverton in the late 60"s. Dorothy worked as a teacher's aide at Jefferson Elementary and later owned and ran the Fashion Barn Western Wear store where she eventually retired after 15 years. In her retirement, she found her true passion raising registered Paint horses outside Riverton. Dorothy also enjoyed time outdoors working in her yard, planting and raising beautiful flowers. She always enjoyed being around her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her sons, Tom Kintzler, Randy Kintzler (Jennifer), Steve Kintzler and her daughter, Patty Shaffer (Lee); five grandchildren, Jason Kintzler (Jasmine), Brandon Kintzler (Terrayne), Crystal Thomason (Lance), Ryan Kintzler and Ashlee Kintzler; two step grandchildren, Brent Shaffer and Troy Shaffer (Nikki); six great grand children, Cooper, Asher, Fisher, Adilyn, and Carson Kintzler and Brooks Thomason; two step great grandchildren, Tory and Cassidy Shaffer. One sister, Shirlee Krause (Dutch); and two brother-in-laws, Jerry Kintzler (Lori) and Kay Kintzler (Alice). She was preceded in death by her parents, Alex and Katie Weber, husband Bud Kintzler, and a sister, Francis Freese.
