Alice Gantenbein, 79, of Pavillion, died at her home on Tuesday, February 24, 2015. As were her wishes no services will be held.

Alice Louise Gordon was born on June 19, 1935 in Roscoe, NE to Ellsworth “Bill” C. and Katherine “Kate” Elizabeth (Miller) Gordon. She was the youngest of three girls and was raised on a farm on the north shore of Ocean Lake in Pavillion, WY. She attended schools and graduated high school from Pavillion, WY.

On August 27, 1955, she married Gehrig Gantenbein in Pavillion, WY. Together they raised three children while living on Riverview Road. The couple moved to farm near Pavillion, Wyoning the summer of 1995, where she lived at the time of her death.

Alice was a homemaker and a well-known cake decorator, she also was an election judge..

She enjoyed bridge club, gardening, cooking, baking, sewing, traveling, hiking, Tole Painting, restoring antique furniture, reading and knitting, She had fond memories of trips to New Zealand, New York, Mexico to watch the whales, and white water rafting with her nephew Roger and family.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Gehrig of the family home; her son, Tom Gantenbein of Pavillion, WY; her daughters, Kristen Gantenbein of Palm Springs, CA and Susan Parris and her husband, Tim of Murrieta, CA; her grandchildren, Amy Parris and Katie LaPorte; and her great grandchildren, Cash and Paisley LaPorte.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Kate Gordon and her sisters, Kathryn Hill and Carol Jaques.
