An Open Mic Celebration of Life for Shawn David Cross, 41, who died April 14, 2015 at Sagewest Hospital will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 17, 2015 at Davis Funeral Home. Cremation has taken place. Memorial contributions to the PAWS for Life in care of Davis Funeral Home.
Shawn was born June 10, 1973 in Fort Smith, Arkansas, son of Bill J. and Carol Ann (Mahaffey) Cross.
He graduated from Riverton High School in 1992. Shawn has lived in Riverton for the past 36 years.
Mr. Cross worked as a tire technician for RTO and BTI.
He enjoyed fishing, camping and spending time with his dog, Abby. He was a fan of Nascar and the 49ers football team. Shawn participated in Dart Leagues and the State of Wyoming Dart Tournaments.
Survivors include his father, Bill Cross and his wife Brenda, mother, Carol Mahaffey, brothers, Greg Cross, step-brothers, Rick Arey and Russell Arey, sisters, Melissa Hammer and husband, Mike, step-sister, Wendie Bowers and husband, Chuck, nieces Miranda Hammer and Makenzie Cross and nephew, Jason Hammer.
