C. Donald "Don" Bracken

C. Donald "Don" Bracken of Riverton died on Friday, March 7, 2008, at Westward Heights Care Center in Lander. He was 90 years old.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 13, at the Davis Funeral Home of Riverton. The Rev. Cleve McSwain will officiate.

Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Riverton.

Clarence Donald Bracken was born on April 27, 1917, in Craig County, Okla., the son of Clem Paterson Bracken and Julia Esther (Roelofsz) Bracken.

He married Faithe Louise Neal on June 10, 1941, in Casper. She preceded him in death in 1987.

Mr. Bracken was a Riverton Valley farmer, having purchased the Frank Davis farm northeast of Riverton in January of 1948. He retired in the 80s.

His family said he loved gardening, fishing, camping, and bowling.

Mr. Bracken was a past member of the Eagles Lodge.

Survivors include sons, Neal Bracken and his wife Kathy of Lander, and Steve Bracken and his wife Debbie of Firestone, Colo.; daughter, Donna Bracken of Riverton; three grandchildren, Brandie Johnson and her husband Mike, Korby Bracken and his wife Amy, and Shad Bracken; four great grandchildren; two brothers, Roy Bracken and

Melvin Bracken, both of Nebraska.

In addition to his wife, Faithe, Mr. Bracken was preceded in death by four sisters, and two brothers.

Memorials may be made to Little Wind Hospice, the Riverton Senior Center, or a charity of the donor's choice, in care of the Davis Funeral Home, 2203 West Main, Riverton, WY 82501.
