Connie Brant, 56, of Dubois died on Thursday, July 30, 2015, at her home. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, August 7, 2015, at 2:00 pm at the Dubois V.F.W.
Connie Wood was born on February 23, 1959 in Fairbanks, Alaska to Darwin Winston and Corrine Connie (Monroe) Wood. When she was a year old the family moved to Bakersfield, CA where she grew up and graduated school.
In 1986 she married Pat Dorsey and together they had two sons, Patrick and Brandon. In 1989 she moved to Dubois where she made her home until she passed. On October 13, 1998 she married David “Dave” Brant in Dubois.
Connie owned and operated the Rawhide Bar for a time then she became a waitress and bartender for other business, a camp cook and caretaker for the Condict family, the Grand Slam Outfitters, and Wiggins Fork Ranch.
Her family said she enjoyed gardening, horses, family, helping with the chariot races and pack horse races, hunting, and her dogs.
She is survived by her husband, Dave Brant; sons, Patrick Dorsey and Brandon Dorsey; her sisters, Melody Buzbly and Valarie Scott; her half- brother, Danny; and her half-sisters, Terry and Tony.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Darwin and Corrine Wood.
