Long time resident of Pavillion, Claudean F. Bisbee, 89 died on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at the Help for Health Hospice Home. A viewing will be held on Friday, October 9, 2015, at Davis Funeral Home from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at 10;00 am at Davis Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.

Claudean Faye Maxey was born on March 18, 1926 in Winnipeg, MO to Roy Elmer and Bessie Jane (Shadel) Maxey. In 1937 her father and mother moved Claudean, her two brothers and sister to Pavillion. She attended Pavillion High School graduating with the class of 1945. After graduating she attended the Business School in Denver where she received her certificate.

On November 29, 1946 she married Jay Wesley Bisbee in Billings, MT. Mr. Bisbee was a career military man and they moved to many different places including, Tennessee, Florida, and California. In 1973, while in California, Mr. Bisbee passed away. Claudean lived there for another four years before moving herself back to Pavillion where she resided until her passing.

After moving back to Pavillion she worked at the Basketeria for the next 35 years before retiring. In 1977 she joined the Pavillion Fire Department. She was an active Fire Fighter, member of the Search and Rescue Team., EMT Service, and became a Captain in the Fremont County Fire Fighters Assoc. She remained actively involved in the Pavillion Volunteer Fire Department as Secretary/Treasurer until Feb. of 2015.

Her family said that she loved to work in her yard, her flowers, visiting with friends and family, and keeping her home warm and welcoming for all. What she enjoyed most was doing for others.

She is survived by her brother Roy Maxey and wife Shirley, sister Sarah Jo Holden and husband Ray. Daughter Sharon Jane Martin and her husband Bill, her sons, Wesley LeRoy Bisbee and his wife, Lola, and Charles Elmer Bisbee and his wife, Jane. Her grandchildren, Mark Martin and wife Vicki, Karen (Martin) Branson and husband Nathan, Curtis Jay Bisbee, Ricky, Rebecca, and LaDonna, 14 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jay Wesley Bisbee, her parents, Roy and Bessie Maxey, her brother Joe Andy Maxey, and one niece Marvee (Maxey) Meeker.

Memorials may be made to the Hospice Home and the Fremont Co. Firefighters in care of Davis Funeral Home, 2203 West Main Street, Riverton, WY 82501.
