Delilah M. Morgan, 98, of Riverton died Wednesday, May 26, 2016 at the New Horizons Care Center in Lovell, Wyoming. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at the Davis Funeral Home in Riverton. Pastor Mark Rader will officiate. Burial will be at a later date at Mountain View Cemetery.

Delilah M. Morgan was born April 18, 1918 in Brewster, Nebraska to Waid and Ada (Bunner) White. She married Forest A. Morgan in Custer, South Dakota on August 24, 1933.

They moved to the Pavillion area in 1936, but Mr. Morgan wasn’t old enough to homestead until 1937 so he paid water rights to hold their homestead. The couple came back in February of 1937 and farmed until 1945, 18 miles North of Riverton. Mrs. Morgan cooked in Pavillion for two years while the North Portal Canal was being built. In 1946 the couple moved to Pavillion and moved to Riverton in 1968.

Mrs. Morgan enjoyed Painting, bowling, loved fishing and enjoyed the mountains.

She was a member of the extension club and the American Legion Auxiliary 61 Pavillion.

In 1980 she became a member of the United Methodist Church in Riverton.

She is survived by her daughter Yvonne Jones of Riverton; five grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; ten great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Waid Morgan and Ada Spears; husband, her husband, Forest in 1994; son, Dallas and grandson, Waid Morgan in 1971; two sisters, Darlene and Eda; brother, Denzil.
