LeRoy Peil, 81, of Riverton, passed away at his home on Thursday, April 12, 2018. As were his wishes, cremation has taken palace and no services are scheduled.
LeRoy Edward Peil was born on May 24, 1936 in Riverton, WY to Edward and Mary (Doubret) Peil. He grew up in Riverton and graduated with from Riverton High School with the class of 1956.
After graduation he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served four years on an aircraft carrier during the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged and returned to Riverton.
On December 23, 1958 he married Pauline Margaret Herberlein at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Riverton, WY. They raised their family of two sons in Riverton.
He was a past member of the Riverton Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He loved spending time with his family, hunting, and fishing.
He is survived by his wife of over 59 years, Pauline Peil; sons, Larry Peil and wife, Danette, and Raymond Peil and wife, Debra; brother, James Peil; and grandchildren, James, Shila, and Brianna.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Peil and Mary Peil-Petsch.
