Constance "Connie" Ellis

Connie (Olson) Ellis died May 11, 2018 at her home in Hudson at age 78 after a courageous battle with leukemia.

She was born in Casper, WY, March 21, 1940 to Anna and Oscar Olson, the youngest of six children. The family moved to Riverton Valley in 1944. She attended schools in Riverton and Pavillion before graduating from Shoshoni in 1958.

She married John Ellis in Red Lodge, MT on June 28, 1959. They lived in Casper and Lander before making their permanent home in Hudson.

Connie retired after many years as a cook for ElToro in Hudson.

Survivors include her children and their spouses, Trevor “Sparky” Ellis and Nary of Texas, Belinda Hopkins and Charles of Montana, and Gerry Kay Fredrickson and David of Montana, as well as sisters Eleanor Cantrell and Carol Maulik both of Riverton and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her husband, John in 1997, her parents and sibling, Don Olson, Doris Anderson, and Esther Luers, and granddaughter, Acacia Curtis.

There will be a viewing held on Wednesday, May 16, 2018, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Davis Funeral Home and again one hour prior to the funeral at the church. The funeral service will be on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at St. John Lutheran Church in Riverton at 10:00 am with Pastor Bonita Knox officiating. Burial will be in Thermopolis beside her husband.

Memorials in her name may be made to the Cancer Society who helped in her treatment.
