Caroline Friday Bower, 71, of Kinnear passed away on September 13, 2018, at the Wyoming Medical Center in Casper, WY. A rosary will be recited at 7:00pm on Monday, September 17, 2018, at Blue Sky Hall, with the Wake to follow at 396 HWY 133, Kinnear, WY. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday, September 18, 2018, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, with burial to follow at the Wolfrang Family Cemetery.

Caroline Nancy Friday was born on May 8, 1947, in Ft. Washakie, WY, to Samuel S. and Cecilia B. (Wolfrang) Friday. She grew up in the Ethete area and graduated high school from Lander Vocational High School. She then attended college in Pasadena, California where she received her Associates of Applied Science Degree in the Foundations of Education and Technology and later, received a Child Development Associate.

She was baptized in the Catholic Faith and was a very traditional Arapaho woman, whom followed the Arapaho way of life. She spent her entire life showing her family how to follow the simple life teachings to love one another, to have respect for one another, to have compassion for one another and to pray for one another.

On May 13, 1978, she married Herbert George Bower, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, in Ethete, WY. They made their home in Fremont County. They had three children, Rhonda Bower, Margret (Margo Bower) Williams and Malcolm Bower.

She worked at the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Ft. Washakie School, The Shoshone and Arapaho Head Start Program, the Arapaho Immersion School, Arapaho School, and later in the life worked with the Senior Citizen’s 55 Plus Program, where she once again working with children. She loved teaching and working with children.

Caroline loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She cherished all of them and loved having family gatherings and any kind of celebration that would bring the extended families together. She loved sharing her children and grandchildren’s accomplishments in school, life (and hunting) and was always there to offer her kind words of encouragement. She loved cooking, camping, the outdoors, canning vegetables and making various jellies and jams, she loved doing needlepoint and knitting and doing so many arts and crafts. She had a passion for offering kind words to everyone she saw and she loved to visit and share stories of past times.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Herb Bower; her children, Rhonda Bower, Margret (Brian) Williams Sr., and Malcolm Bower; her adopted children, Vana Warren, Amy Friday, Mary KillsOnTop, Angie Warren, Becky Moss and Eliza Moss; her biological grandchildren, Brandon (Leslie) Williams, Stacie Williams, Shanel Williams (Issac Jenkins), Kristen Williams, Derrick Williams Sr. (Alannah Amos), Brian “Bob” Williams Jr (Kayle Addison), and Camryn Williams; her biological great-grandchildren, Derrick Williams Jr., Nadia Williams, Emilyahh FastHorse, Isabelle Jenkins, Cassity Jenkins, Luka Hereford, Layla Atencio, Mara Atencio, and Korbynn, Surene, Brenna, Evan and Davin Williams; her extended grandchildren, Heather Friday, Myron Friday, Lazara Broncho, Ivan TwoBulls, Misty Haddenham, Barbara Haddenham, Artissa Warren, Benicia Warren, Vanessa Warren, Arianna Warren, Ben Warren V, Marcus Friday Sr, Christopher Friday, William Ferris, Arron Ferris, Margaret Friday, Cheryl WhiteBull, Mike Manderson, Dwayne Hereford, Thomas Redman, John Redman Jr., Luisa Vaquera, Jade Vaquera, Thalia Vaquera, Louis Vaquera; extended great-grandchildren, Mackenzie (Friday) Logan, Alicia Sanchez, Darrold Broncho Jr., Caleb Sanchez Roman, Darrold Broncho III, DragonFly WhiteBull, Constance Oldman, Marcus Friday Jr., Sophia Friday, Virginia Friday, Shay Friday, Tesla Friday, Summer Friday, Cherish Friday, Brook Friday, and Spencer and Shane Schone; her extended great-great-granchildren, Robert (SugarBug) Jiminez Jr., and Illianna TwoBulls; her brothers, Phillip Friday, Edward Friday, and Everett Eagle Sr.; her sisters, Roberta Whiteplume, Betty Friday, Amelia Little, Joann Tucker, Bernice Watan, Lettie Spoonhunter and Alene Shakespeare; Her nieces, Velinda Friday, Carol Sanchez, Joann Friday, Karen Manderson, Robin Manderson, Rochelle Mountain, Dallas Eagle, Odessa Eagle and Kaitlyn Whiteplume; Her nephews, Everett S.Eagle Jr., Edward Eagle Jr., Gib MedicineCloud, Vernon Manderson, Howard Friday, Byron Friday, and Gerald Friday; her Aunt, Ida Brown; and very close friends, Yvette Bartel, Debbie WhiteBuffalo and Rae Friday.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, Samuel and Cecilia Friday; her siblings, Bradford Friday, Carth Friday, Eugene Friday, Leonard Friday, Lawrence Friday, Anna Warren, Barbara Manderson, Florita S.Eagle, David Wolfrang, and Edward Eagle Sr; and her aunt and uncles, Wallace Wolfrang, Tony Wolfrang and Lillian S.Eagle.
