Edna Gonka

Edna (Miller) Gonka passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, October 21, 2018, at the age of 84. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, October 25, 2018, at Davis Funeral Home with inurnment to follow at Mountain View Cemetery.

Edna Evelyn Miller was born on February 7, 1934 in Columbus, MT to Charles True and Josephine Ester (Smith) Miller. She grew up in Montana with her ten siblings.

On January 27, 1962 she married Harold Gonka. They celebrated 56 years together this year. Together they raised their family of four sons and one daughter. While Edna was a homemaker she also took care of their place and animals.

Edna enjoyed making floral arrangements and listening to country music. In her early years she enjoyed working in her flower beds and gardening. Her favorite holiday was Christmas and she loved decorating the Christmas Trees and loved to drive around the area looking at all the holiday decorations and Christmas lights. Edna always had a big pot of coffee going for anyone that dropped in.

Edna is survived by her husband, Harold Gonka; sons, Ron Gonka and wife, Alicia, John Gonka and wife, Verna, Phillip Gonka and wife, Tara and Clint Gonka and wife Samantha; daughter, Vickie Carlson and husband, Greg; grandchildren, Josh, Yancy, Justin, Chance (Erin), and Colton (Lindsey) Gonka, Malachi Lane, Danica Brown, RayLee Gonka, Tyler (Jenni) and Zachary Carlson; great grandchildren, Riley, Savana, and Aiden; and siblings, Vern Miller, Charlie Miller, Violet Paulson, and Lillian Osgood.

Edna was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Josephine Miller; and siblings, Gerald Miller, Ivan Miller, Cecil Miller, Pearl Braley, Maxine Binek, and Sherry Daniels.
