Iris Elaine Bartlett, 94, of Casper, Wyoming, passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2019. Born in Sargent, Nebraska in 1925 to William Jennings Bryan & Essie Maggie Cooper. She graduated from Pavillion High School in 1943. She worked various jobs after high school including, Safeway, Woolworths, and the phone company. She married Gail (Bud) Ronald McCullough in 1946. They owned and operated a farm together near Kinnear, WY. Born of that union were two daughters. Bud and Iris later divorced.

In 1967 she married Thomas Henry Bartlett in Casper, where she lived until her death. She worked at the Sears and Roebuck store in Casper for 25 years. After retiring from Sears, Iris worked with her late husband, Thomas operating their business WAMCO Lab that opened in 1976. She retired again in 2013.

She was a lady. A friend. A confidant. A favorite Auntie. She laughed. She truly cared about people.

Mom we will miss you wiping down the kitchen counters behind us, your welcoming smile, playing Skip-Bo, your perfect hairdo, your understanding way, home-made apple dumplings, chicken and noodles, your hands with the balled-up tissue, and that giggle! Most of all Mom, (grandma patty-cakes) we will just miss you.

Iris is survived by her bother, Darrell Cooper; daughters, Karleen (Thomas) Brock and Elaine Gold; son, Brady (Michelle) Bartlett; grandchildren, Heather (Jordan) Clapp, Crystal (Brian) DePaolo, Anthony (Athena) Gold, and Christopher Bartlett; Great-Grandchildren, Rayna, Deangelo, Isis, Soryn, Ella and Levi; numerous loving and caring nieces, nephews and friends; and also her wonderful friends and staff at Meadow Wind.

She and Thomas were long time members of Winter Memorial Church and created many beautiful stain glass windows for the church. They were also volunteers for Meals On Wheels.

While living at Meadow Wind she won Halloween costumes contests, being “The Bag Lady”, “Ebola Iris”, and was voted Valentine Queen for a day, as well as resident of the month.

Iris was proceeded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas; brothers, Dale Cooper and Melvin Cooper; sister, Nadine Newberry; numerous nephews and nieces and grandson, Dylan Brock.

A Memorial Service will be held 1:30 PM, Sunday, October 27, 2019 at Meadow Wind Assisted Living, 3955 East 12th Street, Casper, WY, with a reception to follow.
