Carol Tarver of Missouri Valley north of Riverton died on Wednesday, June 3, at the Help for Health Hospice Home in Riverton. She was 73.

Funeral Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at the Davis Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Thurman of the United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be at Mountain View Cemetery in Riverton.

There will be a viewing from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, June 8, at the funeral home.

Carol Anglen, daughter of Frederick Earl Anglen and Ella (Bechtold) Anglen, was born in Lovell, WY on Oct. 10 1935. She graduated from Shoshoni High School with the Class of 1954.

She married M. Lewis Tarver in Kinnear on Aug. 4, 1956. Mrs. Tarver had been a nurse’s aide for several years, was involved in farming and ranching the family places in North Portal and at Crowheart for over 17 years, and was a cook for School District #25 for 25 years before retiring to live on the family farm.

She attended the First Baptist Church in Riverton.

Mrs. Tarver enjoyed feeding the humming birds, cooking, playing pinochle, quilting, crocheting, gardening, and looking after her family.

She is survived by a brother, Earl Anglen of Missouri Valley; two grandsons, Matthew Edwards and his daughter Hannah and Patrick Edwards and his wife Krista; nieces, Kim Clemetson and husband Cory and their children and Jeannie Concilio and her husband Leonard and their children; nephews, Neal Anderson and his wife Becky and their children, Nick Anderson and his wife Nancy and their children, Robert Anglen and his wife Verlynn and their children, and Daniel Kurttila; a cousin, Mary Ann Trees and her husband Bill.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, M. Lewis Tarver, and her daughter, Dixie Lee Edwards.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Help for Health Hospice home, in care of Davis Funeral Home, 2203 W. Main, Riverton, WY 82501.
