Funeral services for Lettica M. SittingEagle of the Wind River Reservation are at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 23, at St. Stephen's Catholic Church south of Riverton. Interment will follow at the Arapaho Catholic Cemetery at St. Stephen's with a feast following at Great Plains Hall at Arapahoe. Rosary was Monday evening at the Davis Funeral Home of Riverton with a second rosary at 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 22, at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church with a wake to follow at Eagle Hall at St. Stephen's. Ms. SittingEagle died at her sister’s home on Johnston Road, Kinnear, Thursday evening, June 17, 2010. She was 52. Lettica Mary SittingEagle was born in Riverton on April 25, 1958, the daughter of Anthony SittingEagle and Odelia (Behan) SittingEagle. She was a life-long resident of the Wind River Indian Reservation, having attended schools at Arapahoe and St. Stephen's and the Kicking Horse Job Corps in Montana. She was a homemaker and care giver. Ms. SittingEagle was a member of St. Stephen's Catholic Church. Her family said she enjoyed playing bingo, hand games, listening to Indian music, going to pow wows, playing slot machine, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include sons, Robert Oldman, Derrick Oldman, Daniel Warren; daughters, Megan Oldman, Ashley Hatch; children she also raised, Josephine SittingEagle, Clement SittingEagle, and Shawntay SittingEagle; eight grandchildren, Kaylei Oldman, Ariyana Oldman, Sumner Oldman, Andrew Warren, Jared Underwood, Robert Underwood, Christina Underwood, and Roquelle Underwood; brothers, George Henry SittingEagle, Linus SittingEagle, Gerald SittingEagle, Silas SittingEagle; Virgil Oldman, and Chris SunRhodes; sisters, Dorothy SittingEagle, Leanna Shongutsie, Benita Smith, Valerie June Friday, Vianna Behan, Marcela Behan, Susan SittingEagle, Vicky SittingEagle, and Linda SittingEagle; aunts and uncles, Lucy Arthur, Patria Behan, Mary Jane Snake, Flossie Brown, Dominic Arthur, James Arthur, Simon Arthur, merlin Arthur, Simona Arthur, Marlene Arthur, Carlita Brown, and Evangline C’Hair. Adopted son, George Willard, adopted brother Ed King, nephew Leroy SittingEagle.
