Funeral services for Samuel D. Hubert, 31 of Riverton, are at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 5, at the Davis Funeral Home of Riverton. Joe Norris will officiate. Interment will be at Mountain View Cemetery in Riverton Mr. Hubert died in Las Vegas, Nev., on Monday, Jan. 24, 2011. Samual David Hubert was born in Lander on Dec. 18, 1979, the son of Samuel Hubert, Sr., and Judy Y. Peterson. Mr. Hubert grew up in Riverton and traveled to Utah, Idaho, Oregon, and Las Vegas. He attended schools in Riverton and Lander where he was active in R.O.T.C. He was graduated from Central Wyoming College. Mr. Hubert served with the National Guard. He was a welder by trade and was a welding inspector. He was involved in Egyptology. Mr. Hubert ran and hosted an on-line forum for people to meet and get to know each other. His family said he enjoyed hunting, horseback riding, had a love of welding and building things, and was into gaming and leather working. He was a member of the American Welding Society and a senior Certified Welding Inspector. Mr. Hubert is survived by his long-time companion, Casey Adams of Las Vegas, Nev.; his father, Sam Hubert; daughter, Kodee Franklin; grandfather, John Peterson; uncle, Robert Peterson; aunts, Pam Siek, Jana Peterson and her husband Lester Emerson, Vi Leeper, and Jewel Wolkow; cousins, Michelle Siek, Tamela Bower and family, Jennifer Wolfe, Amy Wolf, John Peterson, Crystal Cabada, Ashley Haddenham and family, Bob Leeper, Jr., Debi Cornman, Lloyd and Buckley Hubert, Christopher, Jimmy and Racheal Hubert, Bobby Dean, Christy, and Rena Hubert, Carol Gard, Julie Fritzel, Bill Fritzel, Jon Fritzel, Wally Nielsen, Doug Nielson, Brandy Nielson, Breanne Tenney, Jolene and Patti McCahen, David, Shelia, and Marion Walkous. He was preceded in death by his mother, Judy Peterson; grandmother, Frankie Peterson; grandparents, Oscar and Rena Hubert; uncles, George, Jim, and Bob; aunts, Carol and Linda.
