Lyle E. Poole of Dubois died on Saturday, March 12, 2011, at the age of 73.

Graveside services were in at Dubois Cemetery on Tuesday afternoon, March 15, with Catholic clergy officiating.

Lyle Evan Poole was born in Jackson on May 18, 1937, the son of John Benton Poole and Jean (Lewis) Poole.

He was graduated from Dubois High School.

He married Carol Whiting in 1957 in Dubois and they later divorced.

Mr. Poole was primarily a rancher who also worked in construction as a heavy equipment operator.

He was of the Catholic faith.

Mr. Poole had lived in Congress, Ariz., Alcova, and Dubois.

His family said he enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Survivors include a son, Edward Lewis Poole of Buffalo; a daughter, Sharon Kay Claridy of Bar Nun; four grandchildren and several great grandchildren; a sister, Virginia Larabee of Arizona; numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded his death by his father, John Benton Poole; mother, Jean (Lewis) Poole; a brother, Lew Poole; sisters, Deon Kay Poole and Beverly Jean Poole-Peck-Hays; and nephews, James Patrick "Pat" Peck and Michael Lee Peck-Jacobs.

Memorials may be made to the Amedisys/Little Wind Hospice, in care of the Davis Funeral Home of Riverton, 2203 West Main Street, Riverton, WY 82501.
