Dorothy Lois Cauthon

Funeral services for Dorothy L. Cauthon, 90 of Riverton, are at 2 p.m., on Wednesday, May 18, at the United Methodist Church of Riverton with the Rev. Mark Thurman officiating.

Cremation will follow services and interment of cremated remains will be held at a later date.

Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 17, at the Davis Funeral Home of Riverton.

Mrs. Cauthon died on Friday, May 13, 2011 at Riverton Memorial Hospital.

Dorothy Lois Skinner was born on Feb. 9, 1921, in Crosby, Wyo., the daughter of Lewis F. and Elizabeth (Benjamin) Skinner. She attended elementary school at Evergreen School in the Lucerne area and graduated high school in Thermopolis.

She lived in the Thermopolis and Lucerne area for around 36 years, lived in Basin 15 years, and Riverton for 39 years.

On Nov. 16, 1983, she married Homer D. Cauthon in Omaha, Neb.

Mrs. Cauthon was a member of the Good Sam RV Club.

Her family said that she enjoyed Sunday worship, gardening, crocheting, knitting, fishing and camping.

She is survived by her husband, Homer of Riverton; daughters, Shirley J. Snyder and her husband Lee B. of Greybull, and Peggy W. Hutchison of Riverton; nine grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, 24 great-great grandchildren and one great-great-great grandchild; a sister, Donna Mae Burnell of Thermopolis.

Mrs. Cauthon was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Lewis Tracy Wood; brother, Orville Skinner; granddaughter, Mitzy Wood, and grandson, Gary Wayne Wood.

Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church of Riverton.
