Joan K. Robinson of rural Shoshoni died at her home on Saturday afternoon, June 4, 2011. She was 69

Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held at the Shoshoni Rec. Hall at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 11, 2011.

Joan K. Tvedt was born in Moorhead, Minn., on Feb. 22, 1942, the daughter of Wallace O. Tvedt and Rose L. (Murphy) Tvedt.

She had lived in Shoshoni since 1976 and cooked for the Senior Center for two years.

Mrs. Robinson was a housewife, having married Jim W. Robinson on Feb. 14, 1978 in Dubois. She was proud to be a mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Her family said she loved mules and horses, enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, pack trips in the mountains, and cooking at many hunting camps.

She is survived by her husband, Jim Robinson of Shoshoni; sons, Jim D. Robinson and wife Fran of Big Piney, Billy D. Robinson and his wife Kim of Bonneville, and Shawn J. Orgaard of Gillette; daughters, Debbie King and husband Mike of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Donna Robinson of Oklahoma City; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers, Jerry Tvedt of Fargo, N.D., Jim Tvedt of Argusville, N.D., Dean Tvedt of Argusville, N.D.; and sister, Jane Winkler of Mandan, N.D.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Darcey Orgaard; a brother, Lowell Tvedt, and daughter-in-law, Patty Robinson.

Memorials may be made to the Tough Enough To Wear Pink Foundation in care of the Davis Funeral Home, 2203 W. Main Street, Riverton, WY 82501.
