Karen Gunnison

Gunnison, Karen

My deepest condolences over your loss. Hold tight to your cherished memories. Lean on family and friends for support and look to God’s Word, the Bible, for comfort, peace and strength. At Isaiah 41:10 God gives us the assurance; “Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not gaze about, for I am your God. I will fortify you. I will really help you. I will really keep fast hold of you with my right hand of righteousness.” Take comfort. You are not alone. Galatians 1:3; John 5:25,26; Revelation 21:3,4.

I was blessed to have been in one of Mrs. Gunnison's English classes at PCS back in 1968-69.

Her enthusiasm and deep laugh filled her classroom and our hearts. She was an important part of my Senior year, and I am thankful for that.

My one regret was that I was unable to attend a breakfast she hosted at her home in Canton for graduating Seniors.

It was a mark of her heart.

Learning that the last years of her life were consumed by Alzheimer’s saddens me.

May her spirit and soul now rest in peace.

I never had Karen for English but I know she was very respected and liked by Potsdam students. Alzheimer's is such an awful thing. My heart goes out to you.
