Marilyn holds a special place in my heart. When we moved in next door to her she welcomed us openly to the neighborhood. When I was homesick she was always there with a hug and words of wisdom. I can remember sharing a wine cooler over the fence during the hot summer days while doing yard work or hot chocolate spiked with peppermint schnapps on a cold winter evening or sharing books from the library as she loved books. My husband and I were trying to surprise her by installing a new line for her sprinkler system. She caught us hand shoveling the trench she said, "oh no don't stop digging I will get you something to drink". Then she and my husband walked away to discuss what we were going to do. She had a great sense of humor and her passion ran deep for those things she believed in.

She will be greatly missed, but I know she is home with our Lord in heaven....and sharing her amazing sewing/crafting skills.

Marilyn (Mrs. Groop) will be greatly missed. She was always out and about in her car or working in her yard.
