I just wanted to let you know how very sorry I am. I cannot imagine the depth of your pain. I want you to know how much I appreciated Matt. The first day I saw him come in for clinical at the hospital I almost cried with joy. I was so happy to see him there and I told him so. I watched him grow as a student and was proud to know him as a fellow nurse. He was the most kind and compassionate of people. His temper never flared and he seemed at peace with whatever came his way. He always had a kind greeting for me and I looked forward to my lunch break and our visits. He always made me laugh. I will miss him so much. M thoughts and prayers are with you. Barb

I work in the nursing department at Central Wyoming College and had the great pleasure of knowing Matt during his enrollment in the program. It was always a bright spot in your day when Matt came in. I believe Matt's easy going nature is what made him a successful student. He will always hold a spot in our hearts. I now find myself frequently looking at Matt's class photo on the wall and smiling. How blessed we are to have known him.

My prayers are with your family.

I just want to tell you all how very, very sorry I am for your incredible loss. Matt was loved by many and we will all miss his neverending smile, and his kind eyes. I graduated from high school with Matt, and even back then you could hardly find him mad or upset about anything. The last time I saw Matt was up at the hospital in the ER. My son was very sick and scared and Matt's soft, kind voice soothed him and calmed him. He was a people person, and people loved him. My thoughts and prayers are with you all in this time of loss.

Dear Phifer Family and Friends,

I am so incredibly sorry for your loss. I was Matt's clinical instructor his last year in nursing school. We often talked about many other things outside of nursing, including his construction projects on his home and triathlons. He was such a special person and had such a big heart. He will be greatly missed.

May all of your wonderful memories together help you through this most difficult time in your lives.

Sincerely,
Paula Kihn
