Winifred McDonald

McDonald, Winifred

I cleaned house for "Winnie" in 2000 . She was one of the nicest ladies I ever knew. Such an inspiration for a life well led and for her get up & go. She just felt she could do anything in her "80's & if she had put her mind to it I am sure she would have accomplished it.

We corresponded for awhile after I retired then I lost track of her, but still kept her in my thoughts.

My deepest sympathy to all her family ( who she was so proud of).
Just remember what a REMARKABLE WOMAN she was!!!!

Mike and Steve:
Our mothers were amazing, weren't they? In the past 2 years, they grew to love and look after each other on a daily basis. When mom was in the hospital, Winnie wrote on her board and had it delivered to mom...It read, "Dorothy, we've said it all. Love, Winnie" And indeed - they could communicate with just a look or a grin. So now they are dancing their way to heaven - such good friends. My prayers are for your family and ours to rejoice in their journeys and to celebrate their lives. I'm so grateful that my mom had your mom as such a dear friend, and that Winnie and Dorothy are with God and their loved ones.

God bless your family,

Mike -
We extend our sympathy to you and Justin. We first met Winnie when our Justins were in kindergarten. She would invite Justin over to play and have lunch - what a delightful time he always had. She was a gracious lady through all the years we visited with her.

Mike,

Winnie was one of the funniest people I knew. We had such good times "talking" with her white board. She spoke her mind, and I loved that about her!

Dorothy loved her, too. It is fitting that they both passed away during the same week. I know they were both more than ready to go and to have fun together, with no ailments, in Heaven. Bless them both!!
