Barry Greenberg - 9/9/2009

To Barry, Oakley, JD and Janet and all of the Hackleman family and Carman's extended family.
We were so very shocked and saddened to learn of Carman's passing.
I think back to being asked to make Barry and Carman's wedding cake and how much fun that was, doing something for two very special people.
Also remember the many years of being involved in the bowling world in Riverton with so many friends and watching the Hackleman's bowl those big games!!!
It is so very hard to lose someone but we have to believe that God has a bigger plan for Carman and be able to take comfort that she is at peace now and her suffering is over.
Our special thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this difficult time.
God bless,
Reuben and Rosalee Blumenshine

BARRY AND OAKLEY,
SOME OF THE BEST TIMES I EVER HAD WAS WHEN I THRU DARTS WITH CARMAN AS MY PARTENER. SHE ALWAYS HAD A SMILE ON HER FACE AND WE BOTH WOULD LAUGH AT OUR TERRIBLE ROUNDS OF DARTS. WE USE TO DO THIS THING WITH DARTS, WE WOULD EACH PUT UP A QUARTER AND WHO EVER SCORED THE MOST EACH ROUND GOT THE QUARTER. IT WAS ALWAYS A WEAR OUT THE QUARTER SLIDING IT BACK AND FORTH. SHE WAS A WONDERFUL PERSON. NOT ONLY BEAUTIFUL ON THE OUTSIDE BUT BEAUTIFUL ON THE INSIDE TOO. SHE HAD A HEART OF GOLD AND WILL BE MISSED BY THIS DART PARTENER.
THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS ARE WITH ALL OF YOU.

Jana Peterson - 9/11/2009

Barry,
I was so sorry to hear about you and your son losing someone so special. I wish that I knew all the right things to say to make this easier.

Margaret Hinckley - 9/16/2009

Barry & Oakley,
This is so hard to write, but I want you both to know how much Billy & I cared for Carmen. I got to know her through the Saturday morning bowling with the kids, and having Oakley and Eric on the same team since they were t-tots, our friendship grew over the years. When it came to us discussing personal matters, and if I had a problem that I didn't quite know how to handle, she told me like it was, no sugar coating it! That is what I loved about her :) Bill and his parents have known Carmen much longer than I have and each have been affected by her loss in their own special way. May God Bless Barry, Oakley, and all of Carmens dear family & friends, Amen. Love, Bill, Jaylynn, Alec, Eric, & Jesse Krause

Jaylynn Krause - 9/17/2009

Barry, Oakley, Steve, Janelle, Cody, Josh and your families,

We are so sorry for your loss and hope you know that many people have you in their thoughts and prayers. It never makes sense when a love one dies - especially someone so young. But we know she is in a better place and will be watching over Oakley all his life.

Barry-We've known you forever but never knew you were married to Steve's sister. What a small world.

Uncle Ray and Aunt Anita,

What can I say? I am shocked and feel a profound sense of loss. You both know all the fun and sometimes devilment that Carman and I got into while growing up. Will never forget all the times together that we shared in the summers. The family reunions, times at the lake, staying with Grandma and Grandpa in their house in Paoli. Poor Aunt Anita who never let us live down the time we embarassed the poo out of her at the bus station in Douglas and Uncle Ray coming down the hall telling us to quit all that laughing and giggling and just go to bed. Those were the BEST times and all because we were together. You could never be around Carman for long and not be infected with her love for life, happiness, her family and friends. She was such a glowing personality throughout her entire life. The last time I visited with Carman we shared stories about our kids, our jobs and all the things we wanted to do as we got older. She had such love for the two of you, her brothers, her son and her husband. I can't imagine how you feel but know that Jeff, Judi and our families love you and our prayers are with you. You are not alone in your loss. These are the same things the two of you have shared with me and my siblings in the losses that have occurred in our lives. My mother always taught me that the love of Faith, Family and Friends will help you through any tough time and I still believe that. You know where I am should you need anything. Lots of love to you.
