GENERAL PRICE LIST

Includes: Twenty-four hour accessibility to respond to initial calls; general and administrative expense; arrangements conference; planning, supervising, and coordinating service details with those involved in the funeral service; securing, preparing and filing necessary permits, certificates, authorizations and consents; clerical and record keeping. This fee for our basic services and overhead will be added to the total cost of funeral arrangements you select. This fee is already included in our charges for direct cremation, immediate burials, forwarding and receiving remains. 

Except in certain special cases, embalming is not required by law. Embalming may be necessary, however, if you select certain funeral arrangements, such as a funeral with viewing. If you do not want embalming, you usually have the right to choose an arrangement that does not require you to pay for it, such as a direct cremation or immediate burial.

Our charges for youth services are based on a percentage of the professional fees for Traditional Funeral Service or Graveside Service packages that are available.  Charges for merchandise and outside services selected for children's services are in addition.

DIRECT CREMATION SERVICE - $2579.00 *

This service includes basic professional services of funeral director and staff; removal and transfer to funeral home; 2 days refrigeration charge; care and preparation of remains for cremation; transportation to crematory and cremation fee. Does NOT include register book, memorial folders, acknowledgment cards, our assistance with memorial services, casket, cremation container or urn.

RECEIVING CREMAINS FOR MEMORIAL SERVICE - $708.00

This service includes basic professional services of funeral director and staff; use of facilities for memorial service, and services of funeral director and staff in coordinating, supervising and directing the memorial service, or funeral director and staff for supervision in a facility other than the funeral home. Does NOT include register book, memorial folders, acknowledgment cards or urn.

If you want to arrange a Direct Cremation, you can use an alternative container.  Alternative Containers encase the body and can be made of materials like fiberboard or composition materials (with or without an outside covering).  The containers we provide are fiberboard.

Payment Policy

Davis Funeral Home has established a uniform payment policy to serve all families fairly and to prevent misunderstandings. This payment policy enables us to contain our costs to all the families we serve. If a verifiable and assignable insurance policy is not available then the total cost for the funeral is required before services. A 1.5% late payment charge on any unpaid balance will be assessed on the 60th day following arrangements and monthly thereafter until such balance is paid in full. The following methods of payment are available:

1. Pre-arranged Funeral Plan (unpaid balance due at the time of arrangements).
2. Cash or Check (with payment in full at time of service we offer 5% discount).
3. Verifiable and Assignable Insurance.
4. Major Credit Card

Statement of Company Policies

Concerning cremation we will strive to accomplish the cremation as quickly as we can, but we will not guarantee a time frame for completion unless an immediate cremation is arranged.

Un-embalmed bodies will be handled as little as possible by the staff due to health concerns. Un-embalmed bodies will not be dressed. Immediate family only may view un-embalmed bodies. The funeral home will not be responsible for the appearance of an un-embalmed body. Viewing will be limited to one session to limit the amount of handling of the body.

No viewing of un-embalmed autopsied bodies will take place until embalming is complete.

No one other than licensed embalmers, and their assistants, funeral directors and undertakers, public officers in the discharge of their official duties, and attending physicians and their assistants are permitted to enter the preparation room or any room marked “Private” or “Authorized Personnel Only”.

Unauthorized persons may not be permitted in the retort area while any dead human body is awaiting cremation, being cremated, or being removed from the cremation chamber or any room marked “Private” or “Authorized Personnel Only”.

Personal Effects on the deceased at the time of death or personal effects placed on the deceased for viewing purposes will be buried or cremated with the deceased unless specifically requested to be returned. If you would like the personal effects of the deceased from the time of death (such as the clothing, bedding, or jewelry) please ask for them, if not, we reserve the right to dispose of them after a 30-day period.
