Lois E. Stratmoen of Riverton died Wednesday night, Sept. 28, 2011, at the Help for Health Hospice Home in Riverton. She was 85.

Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 28, at Davis funeral Home with Don Stratmoen Officiating.

Lois Esther Bjornberg was born on Thurs., Jan. 21, 1926, in Omaha, Neb., to Algot W. and Esther (Holmquist) Bjornberg.

She attended schools and business college in Omaha and was employed at Northwestern Bell Telephone and Railway Express offices in that city prior to moving to Fort Dodge, Iowa, in 1956.

She married Paul D. Stratmoen on Feb. 15, 1947. He preceded her in death in December of 2001.

Mrs. Stratmoen was an active member of the Lutheran Church throughout her life, serving as director of Christian education, youth choir director, council member, vocal soloist, and choir member. She was also a field director for the Girl Scouts of America in Iowa and worked in jewelry retail sales in Fort Dodge until her retirement.

She moved to Riverton in 2009 to be closer to family.

Mrs. Stratmoen is survived by her children, Donald Stratmoen, Mark and Leslie Stratmoen of Riverton, Mary Renee Stratmoen and husband Phil Oshel of Mt. Pleasant, MI.; grandchildren, Michael, Katrina, Matthew, and Jennifer, and eight great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Help for Health Hospice Home or the Tough Enough Cancer Fund, in care of the Davis Funeral Home, 2203 West Main Street, Riverton, WY 82501.
