Stanley Joseph Bean, 79, of Riverton, Wyoming, passed away on Wednesday, November 5, 2025. He was born on July 30, 1946, in Candor, New York, the son of William Fredrick Bean and Tilly Mary Elizabeth Raymore.

Stanley lived a full and adventurous life true to his cowboy roots. He worked as a professional bull rider, horse trainer, and cowboy, dedicating his life to the Western way of hard work, honesty, and faith.

He served as an Assistant Pastor at the Wind River Valley Cowboy Church, where he shared his deep faith with others. Stanley believed in creating a welcoming place for all, often saying he was “non-denominational — you don’t speak one denomination, so everyone can feel comfortable.”

A Celebration of Life will be held at Heritage Hall, Fremont County Fairgrounds, on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. Family and friends are invited to gather, share stories, and honor a life well-lived.

Stanley is survived by his children, Stanley J. Bean, Jr. and wife Angela; Joshua S. Bean and wife Tessa; and Jackie Shannon Pollock and husband Jeff. He is also survived by his siblings, William “Billy” Bean, Jr., Martha Dye, and Marie Hartenstien; his grandchildren, Ariene Bean, Erica Simonetti, Shane Simonetti; and great-grandchild, Benjamine Bean.

Stanley will be remembered as a loving father, loyal friend, and true cowboy whose legacy of strength, kindness, and faith will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
