No services will be held for Roy Jay Fleming, 87, of Riverton, Wyoming who passed away on Friday, November 7, 2025.
Roy was born June 29, 1938 in Casper, Wyoming to Byers and Gladys Fleming. He graduated from Thermopolis High School in 1956.
In August of 1962, Roy married Joyce Marilyn Fleming. Although they divorced several years later, they shared two daughters, Shauna and Cristi.
Roy had a profound love for the oil field, dedicating 25 years to Maddux Well Service. When the company sold, he worked for S&S Chemical for a few years before moving to Albuquerque, to run Econ-Equip, his father’s business. After selling the business, he worked for Territorial Scaffold for several years before retiring and moving to Thermopolis, Wyoming.
One of Roy’s greatest joys was fishing on Jackson Lake. He shared the love of being in The Tetons with his family, friends, and coworkers.
Roy is survived by his daughters, Shauna Fleming (Steve Kutzer) of Riverton, Wyoming; Cristi (Bryon) Larson of Albuquerque, NM; granddaughter, Preslee Larson; grandson, Landon Larson; significant other, Charlotte Thomas of Thermopolis, Wyoming.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother.
