Sharon Ann Muir
February 17, 1951 – November 7, 2025

Sharon Ann Muir passed away on Friday, November 7, 2025, in Casper, Wyoming, surrounded by her family.

She was born on February 17, 1951, in Rock Springs, Wyoming, to Peter S. and Dorothy J. (Soulsby) Muir. Three weeks after her birth, she traveled by train with her mother, Dorothy to her home in Rawlins, Wyoming.

Sharon grew up in Rawlins and graduated from Rawlins High School with the Class of 1969. Over the years, she lived in several Wyoming communities, including Buffalo, Gillette, Dubois, and Riverton.

She had three children — Colleen in 1972, Kevin in 1975, and Andy in 1981 — and raised them in Riverton. She later met Keith Beall of Frannie, Wyoming, a longtime friend with whom she shared 35 wonderful years until his passing.

Throughout her life, Sharon worked in a variety of jobs, including City Market in Rawlins and Husky Truck Stop in Buffalo. In Riverton, she was employed by Northern Utilities, Southside Social Bar, Chemtrade Refinery Services, Bi-Rite Liquors, and Gary Brodrick’s Superstore until the business was sold. She later worked for Child Development Services until her retirement in 2015.

Upon retiring, Sharon moved to the small community of Beaver Dam, Arizona, where she fully embraced retirement — socializing, relaxing, and enjoying an occasional beer.

She loved fishing at Sunshine Reservoir, hunting (and proudly got her moose in 1999 after years of trying), gambling in Wendover, Mesquite, Deadwood, Laughlin, and sometimes Las Vegas. She also enjoyed boating, ceramics, playing pool, bowling, traveling, and cheering for the Denver Broncos, Buffalo Bills, and Wyoming football. Above all, Sharon cherished time spent with her family, grandchildren, and friends. She was also a proud member of the Fraternal Order of the Elks and the Eagles.

Sharon is survived by her children, Colleen (Mike Duran) Mullens, Andy Titus, and Kevin Donahoe; brother, David (Regina) Muir; niece and nephew, Shawna and Scott; and three grandchildren, Jake, Mia, and Dempsey. She is also lovingly remembered by many others who knew her as Grandma, NannyGoat, or Grandma Sharon.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Pete and Dorothy Muir, and her longtime companion, Keith Beall.

You could always tell where Sharon was by her unmistakable, contagious laugh. She had a smile that could light up a room and a personality that was truly unmatched. She seemed to know everyone in Riverton and Rawlins and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at the Riverton Elks Lodge.
