Nicholas Ryan Hopkins

Nicholas Ryan Hopkins, 37, of Riverton, Wyoming, passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2025, in Riverton.

Nick was born February 6, 1988, in Riverton, Wyoming, to Collin Croley Hopkins and Tina Lee (Campbell) Hopkins. He spent his early years in Wyoming, later moved to Florida to attend Bartram Trail High School in Jacksonville. He returned to Riverton for his senior year and graduated from Riverton High School in 2006. Nick returned to Wyoming to pursue higher education and was a true lover of learning and academia. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Business, his Master of Business Administration, and his Juris Doctorate Degree in Law, all from the University of Wyoming.

Nick dedicated his professional life to practicing law and helping others. He worked with the Coalition for Domestic Violence, served as a public defender, and supported families through the Children’s Law Center. He believed in the principles behind the profession and found purpose in being there for people during their hardest moments.

Nick was known as a “gentleman and a scholar,” with a sharp wit, a kind heart, and he was always the funniest person in the room. He also had a remarkable memory—always remembering birthdays, anniversaries, and special dates of his family and friends.

Above all else, Nick adored his daughter, Asher, and would do absolutely anything for her. His favorite pastime was playing golf and watching movies with her, and those moments together meant everything to him. Nick also loved cinema, television, and sports, especially Kentucky Basketball and the Denver Broncos. He was a talented golfer, who won a US open qualifying tournament at Riverton Country Club. This earned him a USGA medal, a rare feat in the sport.

On December 6, 2025, Nick married the love of his life, Bronwyn Starlight Howdyshell, in Casper, Wyoming. Their bond was something truly special—one of those rare loves where you find the one person you are meant to be with.

Nick is survived by his wife, Bronwyn S. Wright-Hopkins; his daughter, Asher Tate Hopkins; his stepchildren, George and Lucy Wright; his parents, Collin Hopkins and Tina Hopkins; his grandparents, Janice Lee (Croley) Hopkins, Robert “Bob” and Sharon (Brisch) Campbell; his brother, Chad and his wife Jessica Hopkins and their children, Marlo, Brogan, and Mabel Hopkins; his sister, Tayler “Tate” Hopkins and her partner, Elijah Theander; his aunt, Tiffonie (Rob) Zalanka and their children, Rylee and Brodie; and his aunt, Bronwyn (Gordon) Taylor and their children, Brianna, Hannah, Colson, and Tessa.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Ralph E. Hopkins, in 2013.

Please come honor Nick at a Memorial Service on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., at the Davis Funeral Home in Riverton.
