Rita R. White
On Thursday, January 1, 2026 Rita White of Riverton passed on to the care of our Lord in Heaven at the age of 85. She was born in August of 1940 to Frank and Elizabeth Rothschiller of Mandan, North Dakota and was the youngest of eleven children.
After graduating high school, she met Robert Miska they married in September 1958. They moved to Seattle where Robert was employed by Boeing. In 1960 they moved to Wyoming to work in the oil fields and later for Western Nuclear in Jeffrey City. In 1974 they moved to Riverton and later divorced but remained lifelong friends. In December of 1975 she married Duane White "CD” and they made their home in Riverton.
Rita worked a variety of jobs in her lifetime including waitress, lifeguard, retail clerk, and assembly worker. Her hobbies included crafts, camping, local football games, and family get togethers. What she enjoyed most was baking for friends and family and teaching her grandchildren how to cook from scratch. She took this time to let each one of them know how special they were to her. Her cookie jar was never empty. Her most valued time was in the mornings reading her Bible. She was of the Christian faith.
She is preceded in passing by her parents; nine siblings; her husband Duane; ex-husband Robert; daughter Brenda; and great grandson Robert.
She is survived by three sons, Elliott Miska and wife Barbara, Carl White and wife Chrissy, Brian White and wife Tanya; ten grandchildren; six great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and one brother.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 10, 2026 at the Davis Funeral Home with interment to follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
