As many have said after learning that Charlotte had passed away, there are simply no words capable of holding the weight of such an unmanageable loss. With that said, this obituary does not attempt to explain, justify, or soften the devastation this family feels. Some grief cannot be translated into language without losing its truth. Instead, these words are offered as an invitation. An invitation to pause, to remember, and to glimpse the life that Charlotte Forever NormanLeier lived. As a reader, we ask you to join us in carrying her story forward, and in never allowing her memory to fade.

Charlotte was born on November 4, 2021, and in her four unbelievably short years, she filled the world around her with laughter, curiosity, and light. She moved through life openly and without reserve. She loved singing loudly, asking big questions, and holding the hands of those she trusted. Her smile was unmistakable, her spirit was gentle, and her presence had a quiet way of making ordinary moments feel sacred simply by her being there.

Charlotte was a daughter, a sister, a granddaughter, a niece, a cousin, and a friend. She possessed a rare and beautiful gift for connection, loving freely and without hesitation. She found deep joy in simple things. Her tablet with her shows. Warm blankets. Favorite songs. Huggies & Lovies. Being close to the people she loved most. Those who knew her will remember her kindness, her imagination, her endless ability to talk and express herself, and the way she made others feel deeply seen, safe, and loved in her presence.

Charlotte did not like bugs, but she loved butterflies. She loved pink. She loved going to her Aunty Misty’s. She loved spending time with her best friend and cousin Rikki Leo, if they had to be a part she was asking where he was, she adored her snacks and her snack drawer. She loved her bike and protective gear she got from Santa. She loved lip gloss, playing in the bath, swimming, playing outside, getting her nails done, flying on airplanes, and eating her Happy Meals from McDonalds. She was a dancer, a singer, and more than any child her age, she was a talker even saying her first word at six months old. She loved to be a helper, she was always present and ready to help in any way she could, helping her momma take care of her little brother, helping her parents to clean, helping her daddy cook in the kitchen, helping set up at nap time at daycare, and helping her Yayah sing her songs. Her voice filled rooms, her stories spilled freely, and her joy was never quiet.

Charlotte was blessed with beauty and innocence, a purity that drew people toward her and softened those around her. To know her was to be reminded of goodness without condition, and to love her was effortless.

In all things, we declare that God is Good. All the time, God is Good. Even at four years old, Charlotte spoke of Jesus with simple faith and sincere wonder. In her honor, and in love for her, we will never stop doing the very same.
