Linda K. Corey, 73, of Riverton, Wyoming, passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at Wyoming Medical Center in Casper, Wyoming, surrounded by loved ones.

Linda was born in Riverton, Wyoming, to Harold Yeck and Semone Barthazon on June 3, 1952. She and her twin sister, Anna, were the youngest of four sisters. She attended Riverton High School and graduated in 1970. In 1972, she married Charles “Chuck” Lowrey. They were married for 21 years and had two children, Charles “Randy” and Toni. She worked various jobs throughout her life. While working at C-Plus, she met Dean “Dino” Corey, and they were married in 1999. She retired after spending eight years at the Pitstop Travel Center.

The glue of our family, she was the steady force who kept everyone together through every season of life. Whether she was lost in a good book or catching up on her favorite programs, her door—and her heart—were always open. She found joy in lunches with friends and in connecting with people she knew, whether through a brief chat or text or in long, unhurried conversations.

She was a woman of rare, refreshing honesty; she never told you what you wanted to hear but always told you exactly what you needed to hear, as that directness was simply her way of looking out for the people she cared about most. She was famously feisty, with a sharp wit and a wonderful sense of humor. She could take a joke as well as anyone but was even better at giving it right back—trading barbs with the best of them and keeping us all laughing.

She loved to bake, and she lived by a simple rule: “If you leave here hungry, that’s your own fault.” Her selflessness knew no bounds; she would often go without to ensure her family was provided for, especially during the holidays, which she worked tirelessly to make magical.

Above all, she had a profound love for her family and friends. She never let a conversation end without saying, “I love you.” A devoted animal lover, she usually had her beloved dogs by her side. She leaves behind a legacy of strength, laughter, and a family held together by the love she so freely gave.

She is survived by her husband, Dean “Dino” Corey; her sister, Bobbie (Chad) Cunningham; her daughter, Toni Aguilar; her niece, Lisa Waters (John); her nephew, Jeffrey Adams (Chelsea); her grandchildren, Alisa Aguilar (Kris), Serenity Lowrey (Chris), Johnny Aguilar (Chloe), Matthew Waters (Wendy), Aleric Adams (Paige), and Errolyn Adams; and her great-grandchildren, Xaylah and Xamarah Lowrey, Luke Aguilar, Alayah Waters, and Ada and Annalise Adams.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Semone Yeck; her sisters, Katy Sturdevant and Anna Drake; her son, Charles “Randy” Lowrey; and her great-grandson, Liam Aguilar.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the summer of 2026.
