Funeral services for Jarrod James Guina, 35, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 7, 2026 at Rocky Mountain Hall. Interment will follow at Sacajawea Cemetery. A Prayer service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Friday, February 6, 2026 at Rocky Mountain Hall with a wake to follow at 117 Cameawait in Fort Washakie, WY.
Jarrod James Guina, age 35, passed away on February 1, 2026, in Billings, Montana. He was born on June 7, 1990, in Lander, Wyoming, the son of James Guina and Elizabeth Trosper.
A lifelong resident of Fort Washakie, Wyoming, Jarrod was deeply connected to his home, his family, and his community. He humbly served the Creator each day through caring for others and living with a giving spirit. He was a devoted participant in the Eastern Shoshone Sundance, which held great meaning throughout his life.
Jarrod attended Fort Washakie Elementary School, Wyoming Indian Middle School, and Fort Washakie Charter School, later continuing his education through Adult Education at Central Wyoming College.
He worked hard throughout his life and held positions with BIA Forestry, Hines General Store, Alexander Excavation, Shoshone Rose, and the Wind River Casino.
Jarrod enjoyed staying active and spending time with friends through his involvement in a pool league and a motorcycle club. He had a wide range of hobbies that reflected his adventurous and creative nature, including basketball, baseball, fishing, hunting, canoeing, skiing, snowboarding, crafting, and playing guitar. Above all, he treasured time spent with his children, and he loved riding motorcycles and traveling to places he enjoyed, including Las Vegas and Venice Beach.
Jarrod will be remembered for his kind heart, his spiritual devotion, and the love he carried for his children, family, and community.
Survivors include his mother, Elizabeth N. Trosper; daughters, Alayne Jamaye Guina and Zion Eldora Guina; sons, Cruz Stetson Wallace Guina and Corbin Alvin King Guina; brothers, Joaquin Trosper, Monaire Guina and Josiah Trosper Moon; sister, Sherice Guina; grandparents, Zedora and Allen Enos; the families of Trosper, Abeyta, Washakie, Teton, Enos, Thunder, Sage, Friday, Goggles, Chavez, and Guina.
Mr. Guina was preceded in death by his father, James Eldred Guina; sister, Monique Guina; grandparents, James Merton Trosper, Jr. and Jimmy Chavez.
