Kent Michael Blumenshine passed away on January 22, 2026, at the age of 67.
He was born November 7, 1958 in Riverton, Wyoming where he was raised. He married his high school sweetheart, Lee Ann Goetz, the love of his life on August 11, 1979.
Kent graduated from the University of Wyoming with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. His career in the semiconductor test industry spanned decades and took him across the country. He began as a Section Manager at Motorola in Austin, Texas, then served as Director of Product Engineering at Delta Design in San Diego and ultimately became Vice President of Engineering at Boston Semi in Massachusetts. Over the course of his career, the U.S. Patent Office awarded him six patents for innovations in semiconductor testing—accomplishments he was deeply proud of.
Faith and service were central to Kent’s life. He was an ordained deacon in the Southern Baptist Church and found great joy in running the sound board during services.
He was also highly active in the Republican Party, serving as Chairman of his local town committee and working closely with the Chairman of the New Hampshire Republican Party on numerous fundraisers and events. His dedication earned him the Norris Cotton Award for outstanding volunteer service.
Kent poured his energy into his community in many ways. In San Diego, he was a committed supporter of the Friends of the NRA, helping organize and execute major fundraising events and receiving several awards for his efforts. During his sons’ childhood years, he coached youth soccer and helped promote the sport throughout the community.
A lifelong sports enthusiast, Kent, followed nearly every game he could. In recent years he became a devoted fan of Manchester City and Nebraska Women’s Volleyball. And as a proud supporter of the Buffalo Bills, he flew #17 from the flagpole in his front yard in honor of Josh Allen.
Kent is survived by his wife, Lee Ann, of the Village of Dabney; his sons, Christopher and Jeffre; and his brother, Craig.
Graveside services will be held June 6, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Lander, Wyoming.
