He spent his early years living in several Wyoming communities, including Lovell, Riverton, Laramie, and Casper, as well as in Grand Junction and Denver, Colorado. He later continued his education at Central Wyoming College, where he earned an Associate of Arts degree with a secondary emphasis in education in 2019. Always eager to expand his skills, Dustin also studied Plate Welding at Eastern Wyoming College in 2023.

Throughout his working years, Dustin was employed by various oilfield companies, where he was known for his strong work ethic and willingness to lend a helping hand. Most recently, he worked for Rinker Materials – Middletown Concrete Pipe Plant in Casper, Wyoming, as a construction laborer.

Dustin truly valued the time he spent with family and friends and cherished the memories made with those closest to him. He had a love for athletics and enjoyed both participating in and attending sporting events. Dustin also found great enjoyment in the outdoors, where he especially liked spending time fishing and appreciating the simple beauty of nature.
