Memorial services for lifetime Riverton, Wyoming resident, Sandra “Sandy” K. Larsen, 66, will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, June 5, 2026 at Cornerstone Community Church in Riverton, with a luncheon to follow at the Reach foundation.
Sandy passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at her home in Riverton surrounded by the love of her family.
Sandy was born on September 23, 1959, the daughter of Leo F. and Joanne (Lough) Harrington. She grew up in Riverton, Wyoming where she attended school through high school, graduating in the class of 1977 and formed many lifelong friendships.
Sandy’s happiest younger days were spent rodeoing, where she loved the western lifestyle and was honored to serve as the rodeo Queen, a role she conducted with pride and enthusiasm. Those experiences reflected her adventurous spirit, confidence and deep connection to her Wyoming roots.
On December 19, 1976, Sandy married the love of her life, Richard P. Larsen at the Methodist Church in Riverton. Together they built a beautiful life centered on love, family, adventure and an unwavering devotion to one another for 49 years. Their marriage was blessed with three children, their first-born son, Reggie, their daughter, Jenna and their son, Jordan.
Over the years Sandy and Richard shared and created countless memories traveling the world side by side for Richard’s work as a pilot, exploring new places, meeting people and creating connections that would be cherished for life.
Sandy pursued her passion for helping others feel beautiful by attending the Trend School of Beauty. She graduated in one of the first classes offered on April 19, 1983, and began a remarkable career as a hairstylist and small business owner that spanned for more than 40 years. Throughout her career Sandy built countless lasting friendships and became a beloved fixture in her community. She was known not only for her talent behind the chair but also for her warm heart, infectious laughter, and genuine interest in her clients’ lives. A highlight of her career was that she founded and was the owner of the Temptations Beauty Salon, a local favorite and popular gathering place where clients became friends and friends became family.
Of all of Sandy’s accomplishments nothing brought Sandy more pride than when she became a grandmother. Her eight grandchildren were the light of her life and one of her greatest blessings. She cherished every moment spent with them and loved creating memories that will last for generations.
Sandy had a remarkable gift for bringing people together. Whether hosting holiday celebrations, summer backyard barbecues, birthday parties or simply gathering around the table, she made everyone feel welcome and loved. Sandy loved celebrations and one of the most joyful and memorable celebrations that she was involved in was all three of her children’s weddings. She poured her heart into making those days special and unforgettable. She deeply loved her two daughters-in-laws Elisa and Kacie and her son-in-law Skeeter and welcomed them into her home and into her families lives with love, laughter, and togetherness.
Sandy also loved gardening and took immense pride in her beautiful yard and flower gardens. She was awarded the Yard of the Month by the local garden club, which was a nice tribute to all of her hard work. Her vibrant flowers reflected the colorful “larger than life” spirt that she carried throughout her life.
Sandy will be remembered for her generous heart, her unwavering love for her family and friends, her strong work ethic, her vibrant personality and the countless lives that she touched. She leaves behind a legacy of sass, kindness, bold personality, and spunk that will be cherished and will continue to inspire all who knew her.
Survivors include her husband, Richard Page Larsen; sons Reggie Page (Elisa) Larsen and Jordan Richard (Kacie) Larsen and daughter Jenna Lee (Skeeter) Aimone; siblings, Leanne (Steve) Charpentier, Phyllis (Justin) LaJeunesse, Kevin (Laura) Harrington, J.D. Harrington, Steve Boyd and Brad Boyd; and grandchildren, Jackson Larsen, Payton Larsen, Chloe Larsen, Bentlee Aimone, Bronxton Aimone, Bryken Aimone, Kam Larsen and Kashlynn Larsen.
Sandy was preceeded in death by her father, Leo Harrington; maternal mother Joanne Harrington; stepmother Nadine Harrington, grandparents Harvey and Cora Lough, nephew Justin Daniel Harrington and father and mother-in-law Jack and Lorraine Larsen.
