Julia ‘Judy” Becnel Andre, 79, of Riverton, died on November 2, 2012. Services will be held at St. Margaret’s Catholic Church on Thursday, November 8, 2012 at 10:00 am with Father Demetrio officiating. A rosary will be held Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at 7:00 pm at St. Margaret’s Catholic Church.

Julia Mae Becnel was born on July 4, 1933 to James John Becnel, Jr. and Anna Marie (Barrett) Becnel, in Custer, South Dakota. She grew up and graduated from high school in Custer, South Dakota.

On August 7, 1953, she married Carl L. Andre in Custer, South Dakota. After their marriage, the couple moved to Hot Springs, South Dakota. She was a secretary for the VA Hospital in Hot Springs until moving to Riverton, Wyoming in 1959. While raising her five children, she worked as a secretary for the Wyoming High School Activities Association until it moved to Casper. She then worked for the Bureau of Land Management until her retirement.

Her family said she enjoyed reading news magazines, fiction and biographies, and discussing political issues. Her true joy was her family, always caring for her children, grand children and great-grand children. She was also a Senior Companion and involved with RCCW.

She is survived by her daughters, Jayne Andre Linck and husband Grant and JoAnne Andre Flanagan and husband Lars; sons, Jim Andre, John Andre, and Jeff Andre and wife Jenelle; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Anna and James Becnel, and husband, Carl L Andre.

Memorials may be made to St. Margaret’s School in care of Davis Funeral Home.
