Nellie K. Daney of St. Stephen's died in Natrona County as the result of a vehicle accident on Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2007. She was 45 years old. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, at St. Stephen's. Burial will follow at the Arapaho Catholic Cemetery at St. Stephen's. Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 12, at the Davis Funeral Home of Riverton and a second rosary at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, at St. Stephen's. A wake will follow the Tuesday rosary at the home of Maria Oldman, 1492-1/2 17 Mile Road. Nellie Kathleen Oldman was born in Riverton on Aug. 3, 1962, the daughter of Larry Oldman, Sr., and Maria (Brown) Oldman. She lived most of her life on the Wind River Reservation, also attending schools in South Dakota and Kansas. She was graduated from the Arapahoe Elementary School, Flandreau Indian School in South Dakota, and attended United Tribes Secretarial School in Lawrence, Kan. She worked as a bookkeeper at the Western Gun Shop. Ms. Daney was a member of the Catholic faith and active in the Pilgrimages through St. Stephen's. She had been a Princess for the Thermopolis Indian Days and her family said she enjoyed beadwork, cooking, the casino, her children and grandchildren, playing cards and dice. Survivors include her companion, James Michal Jenkins; daughters, Cheryl Lynn Oldman of California, Kathileen Daney and Romona Sue Daney of Lawrence, Kan., and Claudia Jenkins of Kinnear; sons, Michael Smith and Matthew Smith of Kinnear; grandchildren, Sunshine, Trulin, and Adrian Oldman, all of Casper, Kathileen, Kylan, Kalena, and Kaden of Lawrence, Kan.; brothers, Steven M. Oldman, Sr., of Harbor Springs, Mich., Virgil T. Oldman of Riverton, Lawrence J. Oldman, Jr., of Casper, Ernest Oldman, Sr., Stevie C. Oldman, Sr., and Curtis M. Oldman, Sr., all of Arapahoe; sisters, Valerie "Junie" Friday, Crystal Dewey, LuElla "Bunny" Monroe, Romona Lou Oldman, and Terrie "Cookie" Teran of Arapahoe; Pam Oldman Sixfeathers of Casper, Benita Oldman Smith of Kinnear, Myra Brown, and Catherine Oldman Eagle; uncles, Rueben Jenkins of Thermopolis, Wayne Brown of St. Stephens, Raymond Addison, Sr., of Ethete, and Buddy Oldman of Rapid City, S.D.; aunts, Flossie Brown of Arapahoe, Eva Meade of Riverton, Viola Oldman Wanstall of Kinnear, and Sophie Oldman of Salt Lake City, Utah; brothers-in-law, Erwin Teran, Darrel Smith, Sr., Arthur Hernandez, and Shane Montoya; adopted daughters, Maria Smith, Lawrencetta and Jamie Bell, Shielyn Perea, Amanda and Allison Sixfeathers, Marcel Oldman, Summer Oldman, Valerie Means, Rhonda Monroe, and Nellie "Mousie" Oldman; adopted sons, Darrel Smith, Jr., Curtis Russell Oldman, Louis Oldman, Albert Sixfeathers, Joe Sixfeathers, Marcus Don Oldman, Curtis Martin Oldman, Jr., Tylis Teran, Talon Oldman, Arron Marcus Oldman, Terrencio Oldman, Royce Killsontop, Howard Addison, Jr., and Frankie Hernandez.
