Evelyn L. Natzke died on Sunday, February 10, 2013, in Evergreen, CO. Funeral services have been set for Friday, February 15, 2013, at 10:00 am at Trinity Lutheran Church in Riverton WY. Pastor David Magruder will officiate. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery. Evelyn Lorraine Poffenroth was born on August 5, 1933 in Longmont, CO to Phillip and Elizabeth (Befus) Poffenroth. At the age of five (5) she moved with the family to Riverton, WY where she graduated from Riverton High School. After high school, she went to Denver, CO to attend Parks Business College. She then worked for Sun Life Insurance Company of Canada in Denver for seven and one half (7 1/2) years, leaving when her daughter was born. She liked Denver so well she stayed in the same house for forty-two (42) years. Her next move was to the Concordia on the Lake Senior Apartments in Denver and then finally to Elk Run Assisted Living Community in Evergreen, CO. She was of the Lutheran faith, confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Riverton, WY, and attended Trinity Lutheran Church in Denver, CO. Her family said her joy was found in her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her son, Larry and his wife, Valerie of Pine, CO, and her daughter Lori and her husband, David of Fredericksburg, TX; her brother, Raymond Poffenroth and his wife, Jody of Riverton, WY; her grandchildren, Connor Natzke, Sierra Natzke, Cassandra (Dreyer) Voss and husband, Matthew, Austin Dreyer, Leland Dreyer, Caleb Dreyer, and Daniel Dreyer. She was preceded in death by her father, Phillip Poffenroth in 1960 and mother, Elizabeth Poffenroth in 2009.
