Funeral services for Gary L. Bauer, 73, will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Davis Funeral Home with Pastor Aaron Justice of the Faith Fellowship Church. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery. A viewing will be held 6:00 – 7:30 p.m., Friday, March 8th at Davis Funeral Home. Memorial contributions to the Tough Enough for Cancer Fund in care of Davis Funeral Home.

He died March 5, 2013 at his home in Riverton. Last rites were given by Father Demetrio Penascozo of St Margaret’s Catholic Church.

Gary was born October 14, 1939, in Bordulac, North Dakota, son of Ferdinand and Rachel (Partlow) Bauer. He graduated high school in 1957 in Bordulac.

Mr. Bauer worked as a car salesman for the local Ford dealership for the past 42 years.

Gary’s hobbies were numerous he loved hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

His family said he was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was constantly joking or pulling pranks and always wanted the last laugh. Gary was a member of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, Ducks Unlimited, Wild Turkey Federation and Fish and Wildlife Foundation.

Survivors include his wife, Marjorie, A. Bauer of Riverton; sons, Joe Bauer of Greeley, CO and Doug and his wife, Tera Bauer of Riverton; daughter, Tammi and her husband, Josh Randolph of Bismarck, ND; step-sons, Chuck Frymire and Chad and his wife, Tammy Frymire; step-daughter, Shari and her husband, Kevin Ketelhut; brother, Bill Bauer of Carrington, ND and Paul Bauer of Williston, ND; sisters, Delores Ihringer of Bismarck, ND, Phyllis Sondag of IL, and Marlene Schaack of Bismarck, ND; grandchildren, Brandon, Brittany and Brooke Bauer, Tiffani and Shawn Weber, Trista and Tasha Bauer and Garett Randolph; step-grandchildren, Matthias C., Tanner and Savanna Frymire, Milton and Gwendolyn Crawford, Karissa, Shaylee and Tristan Ketelhut; great grandchildren, Emmi and Halli Weber; 1st wife of 21 years and mother of the three children, Glenna Nicolson Bauer, 2nd wife of 18 years, Nancy Bauer. He was preceded in death by his parents and his great grand daughter, Kyler Weber; his nephew, Craig Bauer; his niece, MaryBeth Schuchard.
