Judy Jane (Sothan) Ahrens, 57, passed away in Riverton, WY on November 29, 2013 after a year long struggle with ALS (Lou Gehrig's syndrome).
Judy was born in Casper on Aug 3, 1956 to Douglas and Jane Sothan. She was raised in Worland WY and as an adult she resided in Riverton and then Lander WY. She participated in the Special Olympics, was married, worked as a cashier for many years and pursed her education by receiving her GED and taking several college courses.
Judy is survived by her former husband Danny Ahrens of Riverton WY, father Douglas Sothan and sister Vicki Page of Worland WY, sister MaryAnn Allison of Raleigh, NC. , Aunts, Uncles, cousins and several Nieces and Nephews . All who were very dear to her.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Community Entry Services 2441 Peck Ave. Lander, WY 82520. This organization completely supported Judy throughout her lifetime in every way possible and the family is eternally grateful.
A memorial service will be held in celebration of Judy's life on Saturday, Dec 7 at 1pm at the Church of Christ, 39 Gas Hills Road, Riverton, WY
She will be buried in Riverview Memorial Gardens in Worland WY.
