Mary Lamebear, 62, of Kinnear, died on Saturday, January 17, 2015, at the Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, UT. A wake will take place on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at Blue Sky Hall. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2015, at Blue Sky Hall at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at St. Michael’s Cemetery.
Mary Lamebear was born on July 4, 1952 in Clinton, OK to Charles and Merle (Little Thunder) Lamebear. She spent her childhood in Canton, Ok, graduating from high school in 1971. In 1979 she moved to Wyoming where she made her home until she passed.
She was baptized into the Baptist Faith.
She worked at the Circle of Love Children’s Shelter as a caregiver and enjoyed her job.
Her family said she loved going to the casino, playing bingo, doing beading work, and tending to her grandchildren. Her favorite summer past time was to drive to Morton Lake.
She is survived by her special friend, Clarence Brown; her aunt, Merle Lopez; her brothers, Clifford Lamebear and his companion, Gabriel, Chuck Lamebear and his wife, Cora; and Toby Little Thunder, Sr.; her sisters, Linda Armour, June Lamebear, and Emma Lamebear; her nieces, nephews, and grandkids, Erica (Russel) Lamebear-Francis, Brittney (Herb Jr) Augustine, Melanie, Crystal, Sharon, and Lawrence Felter, Cory Lamebear, Cora Lamebear, Clifford “Sweetie” Lamebear, Jr.; and other numerous nieces, nephews, and grandkids; the Little Thunder Family; other family from Lamedeer, MT; and all of the kids she took care of and was “Mom” to at the shelter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Merle Lamebear; her grandmother, Daisy Little Thunder; her niece, Daisy June Felter; and her nephews, Spc. Clint Lamebear and Cody Lamebear.
