Funeral services for Frank Cooper, 86, will be held 3:00 p.m., Monday, May 4th at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Shoshoni with President David Maddock officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery. A viewing will be held at the church on Monday from 2:00 p.m. until service time.

Mr. Cooper died April 30, 2015 at the Hot Springs County Memorial Hospital in Thermopolis, WY.

Frank was born December 15, 1928 in Franklinton, LA, son of Paulos McDollin and Della (Sumrall) Cooper.

He attended school in Franklinton, LA and graduated from Louisiana State University with a degree in Animal Husbandry.

On June 1, 1957, he married Katherine Ilean Bankston in Franklinton, LA. The couple lived in Franklinton until 1965 when they moved to Craig, CO, living there until 1966. They then moved to Rawlins, WY and lived there from 1966 until 1967. Frank and Katherine have lived in the Riverton/Shoshoni area since 1967.

Frank was involved in several small businesses. Most recently C&C Bit Sales, selling drill bits. He enjoyed livestock, especially horses, training and riding them. He also loved spending time with children and other family members.

Frank was very involved in the church and served in numerous positions.

Survivors include his wife of Shoshoni; sons, Jim and his wife, Gayle Cooper, Kerry and his wife, Jeanie Cooper, Steve and his wife Kari all of Riverton; daughter, Tracie Cooper of Bealton, VA; 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
