Karen Lindland, 72, of Lander, died on Tuesday, May 9, 2015, at the Wyoming Medical Center in Casper, WY. As were her wishes, cremation has taken place and no services are scheduled.

Karen Janet Erickson was born on October 21, 1942 in Cherry, MN to Onnie Victor and Bertha Evelyn (Mayry) Erickson. She was one of five children and was raised in Cherry where she attended schools.

She was of the Lutheran faith and was a member of the Bethel Lutheran Church in Lander, WY.

On August 5, 1978 she married Leighton Stanley Lindland in Tower, MN. They lived in Minnesota until 1982 when they moved to Lander, WY where they lived until her passing.

She was a dietary manager and after moving to Lander she worked at the Wyoming Training School, Westward Heights Care Center, and Morning Star Nursing Home.

Her family said she enjoyed cooking, going to yard sales and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Leighton Lindland; her sons, Rick Souder and Brian Lindland; her daughter, Michele Milton and her husband, Dave; her brothers, Rodney Erickson and his wife, Arlene and Ross Erickson and his wife, Pat; her sisters, Becky Koski and her husband, Wayne and Mardel Lampi; and her three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Onnie and Bertha Erickson.
