Robert “Bob” Layton, 64, of Riverton, died at his home on Sunday, July 5, 2015. There are no services scheduled.
Robert Anthony Layton was born on February 15, 1951 in Riverton, WY to Donald Walter and Margaret Lois (Hayen) Layton. He was one of six children and grew up in Riverton. He graduated with the class of 1969 for Riverton High School.
After graduation he started working as a surveyor and traveled around the Western U.SA for many years with his job. He then spent a number of years in Phoenix, AZ before coming back home to Riverton in 2001. He worked as a maintenance man for the Sundowner Station for the last 12 years.
His family said he loved music, reading, camping, and fishing. He enjoyed computers, using the social media and playing games, especially anything Sci Fi as it was his favorite.
He is survived by his mother, Margaret Layton of Riverton; his sons, Mike Layton and Zack Layton both of Riverton; his daughter, Michelle Schoane of OR; his brother, George Layton of Riverton; his sisters, Pam Norwood, Kathy Layton, and Peggy Jevne all of Riverton; and his three grandchildren and one great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his father, Don Layton and his brother, Ted Layton.
