Richard “Dick” Green, 78, of Riverton died at his home on Thursday, January 5, 2017. As were his wishes he has been cremated and no services will be held.

Richard Edward Green was born on March 4, 1938 in Shoshoni, WY to Lester Lavon and Thelma Marjorie (Vandervort) Green. He grew up in Fremont County and graduated from Lander High School with the class of 1956.

He served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged.

He was a cook and traveled to many locations some of which were California and Nevada for several years working in hotels, casinos, and convention centers, Cheyenne WY for nine years where he worked at the Hitching Post, and back to Riverton for the last thirteen years where he was working at the Sundowner Station.

He enjoyed photography, fishing, cooking, and reading.

He is survived by his two daughters, Sheryl Rogers and her husband Tim of Riverton and Darla Dean and her husband, Alan of Rawlins; grandchildren, Michael (Maura) Macauley, Andrea (Kelly) Winfield, Brian (Kari) Dean, and Stacey (Jon) Phillips; and thirteen great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Doug Dralle; sister, Phyllis Green; son, Brad Green; and daughter, Lisa Green.
