Memorial services for Monica L. "Rainie" Michel of Dubois will be at 2 p.m. Friday, June 6, at the Dubois Senior Center.
Cremation has taken place.
Ms. Michel died at her home in Dubois on Monday morning, May 26, 2008, at the age of 56.
Monica Lorraine Chavis was born in Worland on Sept. 5, 1951, the daughter of Phillip C. Chavis and Alice (Perez) Chavis.
She grew up in Worland and then traveled the West until settling in Dubois in the late 1990s.
Ms. Michel was a member of the Catholic faith and her family said she enjoyed camping, flower gardening, her family, and cared for her good friend, Verne Fratt.
She also worked part-time at the Dubois Senior Center and as a caretaker.
Survivors include a brother, Ron Chavis and his wife, Susan, of Casper; sisters, Peggy Bowes and her husband Hal of Dubois, Lori Reiter of Cooer d'Alene, Idaho, and Christina Dabalos of Casper; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Mike, and nephews, Phillip and Kris.
Memorials may be made to Little Wind Hospice or the High Country Senior Center, in care of the Davis Funeral Home, 2203 West Main, Riverton, WY 82501.
